Six books, about 7,000 surviving verses, a dialogue of Parashara and Maitreya, dated anywhere from 400 BCE to 900 CE; opens by declaring the universe arisen from Vishnu and carries the churning, the Prahlada story and the Nara-Narayana choice of Badrinath.
