Yajnavalkya
The sage to whom the White Yajurveda is traced. The Shatapatha Brahmana ends by saying its Yajus formulas come from Aditya, the Sun, proclaimed by Yajnavalkya Vajasaneya. The Vishnu Purana says he gave back his teacher Vaishampayana's Veda and received a new one from the Sun in the form of a horse.
