Angaraparna (Chitraratha)
A Gandharva king, friend of Kubera, who bars the Pandavas from the Ganga at night, is defeated by Arjuna's fire weapon and spared at Yudhishthira's word. He renounces his name after his chariot is burnt, gives Arjuna the seeing-science Chakshushi and a promise of horses, and advises the brothers to take Dhaumya as priest. The section of the Adi Parva is named Chaitraratha after him.
