Daksha
A Rigvedic aditya later made a Prajapati under Brahma; the Mahabharata has him and his wife emerge from Brahma's two thumbs. He is the father of Sati and the host of the sacrifice at which she dies, after which Virabhadra beheads him and a goat's head replaces his own.
