The demon of the Ujjain temple legend who joined two hostile kings against the city of the Shiva-devotee king Chandrasena; Shiva rose as a column of light, destroyed him and remained as the Mahakaleshwar jyotirlinga. The Shiva and Skanda Puranas are cited for the victory.
