Dwarka

Krishna's royal city on the Gujarat coast; the Dwarkadhish temple, a Char Dham and the 98th Divya Desam, was destroyed in 1473 and rebuilt in the following century with the present image installed in 1559. Its submergence is the Guruvayur story's starting point.
