Guruvayurappan
The four-armed Vishnu-Krishna of Guruvayur, whose image temple lore traces from Vishnu's own hands in Vaikuntha through Brahma, King Sutapas and Uddhava to installation by Brihaspati and Vayu after Dwarka sank — hence the town's name. Melpathur's Narayaniyam and Poonthanam's Jnanappana are its devotional literature.
