Mount Kailash
The 6,638 m peak that Hindus hold to be Shiva's home with Parvati, Ganesha and Kartikeya, identified with Meru; never climbed, circled on a 53 km kora, and sacred also to Jains (Rishabhadeva's liberation), Buddhists (Milarepa) and Bon. Ravana tried to lift it and was pinned by Shiva's toe.
