Manasaputras, the mind-born sons of Brahma

The children Brahma produced from his mind rather than by birth. Lists differ by text but include Narada, Daksha, Bhrigu, Marichi, Atri, Vashishtha, Pulastya, Pulaha, Kratu, Angiras, the four Kumaras, Kama and Shatarupa; several of them are the ancestors of the sages and kings of later stories.
