Phra Phrom

Also called: Thai Brahma, Four-faced Buddha

Thailand's four-faced Brahma, worshipped as a guardian spirit in Thai Buddhist and animist practice; the Erawan Shrine image, consecrated in 1956, is the best-known. The name also evokes Mahabrahma of Buddhist cosmology.
