Ranganatha
The reclining Vishnu of the Kaveri island, whose image faces south because it refused to move on from Srirangam when Vibhishana was carrying it to Lanka. Srirangam is the only Divya Desam praised by every one of the twelve Alvars and its Sangam-era mention in the Silappadikaram is the earliest literary trace.
