Tara

Also called: Taraka

Wife of Brihaspati, the teacher of the gods. Soma carried her off, the Tarakamaya war was fought over her, and Brahma had her returned; her son by Soma is Budha. The Devi Bhagavata says she went and stayed of her own will.
