Tulsi

Vrinda, wife of the asura Jalandhara, whose chastity shielded him until Vishnu deceived her in his form; she cursed Vishnu, died on her husband's pyre and rose as the holy basil, whom Vishnu weds each year at Tulsi Vivah.
