Madhu

One of the twin demons born from the wax of Vishnu's ears while he sleeps on the cosmic waters. With Kaitabha he threatens Brahma on the navel lotus, or steals the Vedas, and is killed by Vishnu — on the god's thigh in the Devi Mahatmya, or by Vishnu as Hayagriva in the epic line. Vishnu's epithet Madhusudana comes from him.
