Mahadevi
The Great Goddess of the Shakta frame. In the Devi Mahatmya she is the sleep in which Vishnu lies and must leave his body before he can wake and kill Madhu and Kaitabha; in the Devi Bhagavata she creates the three gods, carries them to her island Manidvipa and shows them their dependence on her by making them women for a hundred years. Her three functions are carried by the Tridevi — Mahasaraswati, Mahalakshmi, Mahakali.
