Meenakshi
The fish-eyed goddess of Madurai, born with three breasts to the Pandya king Malayadhwaja and queen Kanchanamalai from a sacrifice; the third vanished when she met her destined husband, Shiva as Sundareswarar. She ruled Madurai as queen and her wedding, with Vishnu giving her away as her brother, is re-enacted every Chithirai as the Meenakshi Tirukalyanam. In the temple she is worshipped before Shiva.
