Pashupatinath
Nepal's great Shiva temple on the Bagmati, with a four-faced mukhalinga that only its four Bhatta priests may touch; records from about 400 CE, rebuilt in 1692, a UNESCO site since 1979. Its legends make the linga the broken horn of Shiva-as-antelope and the head of the bull shared with Kedarnath. Its Shivaratri gathering is also Nepal's Army Day.
