Sankaranarayana
The Tamil name and temple form of Harihara at Sankarankovil: Shiva as the right half and Vishnu as the left, appearing together at Gomathi's (Parvati's) ten-day penance to settle the quarrel of the serpent kings Sangan and Padman. The district describes the image as a symbol of the unity of Shaivism and Vaishnavism.
