Kamadeva
The god of desire, sent by the gods to make the mourning ascetic Shiva love Parvati so that a son could be born to kill Taraka; burnt to ash by Shiva's third eye, mourned by his wife Rati, and left to live on bodiless as Ananga until his rebirth as Krishna's son Pradyumna. Holi is in places his festival (Kama Mahotsava, Kama Dahanam).
