The story, beat by beat

  1. The poet asks Pushan to drive to him, like a lost animal, the one who bears up heaven and rests on many-coloured grass.
  2. Pushan the bright has found the king, concealed and hidden in a cave.
  3. The poet hopes he will bring the six bound together, as a ploughman brings corn.

Pushan is asked to drive up, like a strayed beast, him who holds up heaven and lies on grass of many colours. He has found the king hidden in a cave. May he bring the six that are bound together, as one who ploughs with oxen brings corn.
