Rama

Also called: Ramachandra, Raghava

Prince of Ayodhya and hero of the Ramayana; born to Dasharatha and Kausalya on Chaitra shukla navami, exiled for fourteen years, victor over Ravana, and returned to Ayodhya on the night the north keeps as Diwali. He gives the Ranga Vimana to Vibhishana and worships Shiva at Rameswaram before crossing to Lanka. His cycle is the largest and will be split by region.
