Ila

Also called: Ida

Nourishment, the offering of milk and butter spoken to as a goddess; one of the three goddesses of the Apri hymns with Sarasvati and Mahi or Bharati (Rigveda 1.13.9). The Shatapatha Brahmana makes her daughter of Manu (per Macdonell).
