Suburb of Thrissur whose Sree Maheswara Temple, consecrated by Narayana Guru, keeps a seven-day Thaipooya Mahotsavam for Subrahmanya with temple-shaped and flower kavadis danced to the chenda from morning to dawn, second in the district only to Thrissur Pooram.
