Kumbhakarna
Ravana's giant brother. In the Uttara Kanda he practises austerities for thousands of years; the gods, who have seen him eat apsaras, servants of Indra, rishis and men, beg Brahma not to grant him a boon, and Brahma sends Saraswati into his mouth so that he asks for sleep.
