Ratha Saptami

Also called: Magha Saptami, Surya Jayanti

The seventh day of the bright half of Magha, kept as the Sun's birthday and the day his chariot turns north; a bath with arka leaves, chariot kolams, and festivals at Konark (Chandrabhaga Mela), Arasavalli and Tirumala.
