Suryanar Kovil
Temple of the Sun and the nine planets near Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, built under Kulottunga Chola I. Its legend: the planets cured the sage Kalava of leprosy, were cursed by Brahma to suffer it themselves, and were given this place by Shiva.
