Kamakshi
Parvati at Kanchi. In the Skanda Purana's Arunachala Mahatmya she does penance on the Kampa under the single mango tree, makes a sand linga, clasps it when Shiva floods the river so that her breasts mark it, and before leaving for Arunachala says she is called Kamakshi, who grants the wishes of those who bow to her by that name. The Ekambareswarar temple tells the tests by fire and by Ganga and the embrace; the Kamakshi Amman temple shows her seated in the lotus pose with noose, goad, sugarcane bow and flower arrows.
