Mandana Mishra

Also called: Sureshvara, Sureshwaracharya

The householder scholar of the ritual school whom Shankara debates at his own house. He asks Vyasa and Jaimini to judge; they name his wife instead. His garland fades, he becomes Shankara's disciple and is known afterwards as Sureshvara.
