Surapadman

Also called: Soorapadman

In the Tamil Kanda Puranam, the eldest of the three sons of Surasa and Kashyapa who won boons from Shiva and oppressed the gods, the reason Murugan was born; killed by the vel at the end of a six-day war, remembered in the Surasamharam of Kanda Shashti at Tiruchendur.
